I just wanted to say that Mel is an awesome designer.  She is professional and truly a joy to work with. She took my abstract thoughts and incorporated them into this great website.

The project was delivered on time and to specification. You really can’t go wrong with Mel at the helm!! 

I knew of mel through her work with other design shops, but I didn’t totally fall in love with anything she did until I saw what she did with one of her blog skins and this here m2 site. And when I came to her, I was in one of my typical ruts: Didn’t know what I wanted, only that she should “put some stank on it,” whatever she did. Oh, and I want it graphically interesting instead of art intensive, and I want more than one font but not these particular fonts, and ... and ...

Can you see how this might be annoying?

Well, mel handled my “faux designer” tendencies with much grace and humor, and she totally didn’t kill me when I chose a different color for the sidebar, though I’m sure there might’ve been some secret weeping as I pretended to know what I was doing.

She’s a consumate professional, and more important, she’s a lot of fun. There’s no doubt we’ll be working together again.

What more can I say? Mel was simply a delight to work with and took the design idea I had created in Photoshop and made it an actual site. Everything looked like what I had in mind. She even went above and beyond my expectations and really made the overall website a functional extension of our church. We now have an average of 100 hits per day, whereas before, we were lucky to get 4 hits per day. Now, with Mel’s help and expertise in using Expression Engine, the site is easier to look at, and is becoming a central communication point of our church congregation. We now offer sermon outlines in conjunction with downloadable sermons and a really nice photo gallery.

The main reason I chose Mel for the church’s website was because of her extensive portfolio and her willingness to take on the task we had at hand. Also, I was looking for a COMPLETE CONTENT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE that has more than just a “blog”. I came across EE some time back but just brushed it off because it cost for a license. Therefore, I dabbled into other CMS’s which were nothing than “blogs.” I did not want this for the church’s site. The staff needed something that could be quickly learned and would not take much of their time. Therefore, I reverted back to EE and really looked at the sites that had been created by various professionals. I saw the flexibility that EE had and was quite impressed in how things worked behind the scenes to produce what a visitor to a website will see.

As from my first impressions about the license fee for the software; it is well worth it. Especially if you can pair up with an incredible developer as Mel. I will definitely recommend her to anyone and will definitely come back to her for some minor tweaks to the website as well as other personal website ventures.

I just cannot say enough. MEL IS GREAT!
