I knew of mel through her work with other design shops, but I didn’t totally fall in love with anything she did until I saw what she did with one of her blog skins and this here m2 site. And when I came to her, I was in one of my typical ruts: Didn’t know what I wanted, only that she should “put some stank on it,” whatever she did. Oh, and I want it graphically interesting instead of art intensive, and I want more than one font but not these particular fonts, and ... and ...
Can you see how this might be annoying?
Well, mel handled my “faux designer” tendencies with much grace and humor, and she totally didn’t kill me when I chose a different color for the sidebar, though I’m sure there might’ve been some secret weeping as I pretended to know what I was doing.
She’s a consumate professional, and more important, she’s a lot of fun. There’s no doubt we’ll be working together again.

Work:blog design, coding, implementation, expressionengine development
The Broad asked me to create a new design for her blog which was a little clean, a little sexy and a little bold (or in her words: “bring the stank”. I used some dark colors and subtle accents to create the style she was after. And then we switched here from Movabletype to Expression Engine. With ExpressionEngine’s built in spam control and user-friendly interface, Broad is happily blogging along with her new skin!
