Hey! You found our blog. This is where we post updates about what's going on at Emtwo (vacations, news, schedule updates). We also write about what's going on in our lives as well as cool sites we visit or fun tips and tricks we find around the internet. We're not a "specialty" blog focusing on any one subject or category. We like to keep things open, fun and light. We hope you'll stick around and share your thoughts with us.

At first glance, Google Chrome is sleek, simple, fast and different.  But is it really all that?

There are some stories out that really makes you wonder.  For example, the fine print (thank you Mr. Boyink for this link) The number 2 item listed in that article is really scary.

“By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any content which you submit, post or display on or through, the services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the services and may be revoked for certain services as defined in the additional terms of those services.”

Does it really mean what I think it means? Somebody hold me!  And make damn sure you read the terms of use and really understand what it is you are handing over to the top search engine in the United States.

And it’s not just your content, but the websites you visit and use every day.  Is Big Brother Google Watching? If I had to guess, he certainly is.

It will be interesting to see how Chrome does out there in the big world of browser wars.

This morning we had a big office meeting.  There was lots of things to discuss, like who is going to go to the store to get more coffee, what kind of office chairs to get and who ate all the cat nip!

Windy Web Designer (aka the one who ate all the cat nip) took the Minutes of the Meeting, while Stormy made sure everyone had enough coffee.  Of course I had to grab my camera so I could share our meeting with the internet.

Enjoy.

Happy New Year!!!

I hope everyone’s holiday season was wonderful and filled with good times, good people and good food.  We had a really lovely quiet Christmas...which is just how we like it.  New Years was filled with gambling, lots of adult beverages and tons of people.  We headed down to Atlantic City for a comedy show on New Years Eve, which was a whole lot of fun.  Dealing with thousands of drunk people after midnight was not, but we managed and got through it all unscathed.  And now we are done partying, we’ve recuperated nicely and we’re back to working our little fingers off.

If you have sent in an inquiry over the holiday week, expect to hear from us in the next day or so.  And if you are still looking for a developer for your site, please contact us as soon as possible.  We have a very limited amount of spots available for the first quarter of 2007 and they tend to fill up quickly.  Thank you again for all your support and I hope 2007 is a great year for all of us!!

Our vacation was wonderful and something we really needed.  We spent a lot of our days soaking up all the Georgia sun and fresh air.  I can’t wait to go back again next year.

Now that we are back, we will be feverishly trying to catch up with all our email, finishing off our 2006 projects and working on our New Year Schedule.

Thank you all for your patience while we catch-up and slip out of vacation-mode.

May is coming to a close already.  Here we are, the friday before the “kick-start-weekend” of summer...Memorial Day.  How I love some good BBQ’ing and fun in the sun (but only for a limited time because I burn baby burn!).  It was looking as though this holiday weekend was going to go uncelebrated, but I was able to wrangle up some friends and some food for a little BBQ Party on Monday.  I’m really looking forward to the down time.

May brought some business with it.  I got quite a few sites done and up into the portfolio section.  My husband and I celebrated our One Year Wedding Anniversary last weekend.  And yesterday we learned that we have a handsome & healthy new nephew, Aidan Christopher.  He was born about 2 weeks early, but both baby and mama are doing exceptionally well and I hope that somehow we will find the time to get down to North Carolina to see them all.

June is bringing in yet another really packed schedule, though I did leave myself some breathing room around the middle of the month, just in case anything pops up or I manage to find myself behind schedule, like this past week.  I ended up being sick for a few days earlier this week, and I was off all weekend for our anniversary get-a-way, add to that, the inquiries that keep flying in, well...I got behind schedule a few days but I seem to be catching up nicely.  So, if anyone is waiting on some email from me, fear not, they are making their way out of my inbox and toward yours.

I’m off to go water myself a little and then back to work.  I hope everyone has a safe and nice holiday weekend!
