I just have to take a moment to write about CSS Mastery, a new book that landed on my desk yesterday. After just a few moments of flipping through this book, I have fallen in love. in love, I say…and I haven’t even gotten into the juicy bits yet.
I’ve always been a big fan of CSS and when I saw that this book was coming out, I immediately knew that it was something I wanted to look into further. If only I knew sooner…this book ROCKS!! I would have pre-ordered it if I had only know
This book totally confirms things I already knew about CSS, and it also has me thinking about changes in my process and how I can be more efficient with my code. In addition there are some new (to me) amazing techniques that I have yet to try. I am so excited about all the possibilities.
I was thinking that my husband was going to be the one who really benefited the most from this book, since he’s learning XHTML and CSS right now, but I am pleasantly surprised about all the things I can learn and fine tune, as well. If you are a designer or web developer, you can not go wrong with this book! Get your copy today! I swear you will be glad you did.

April is here!! This past weekend the sun was shining brightly and the temps got up into the 60’s.
Hello Spring! It’s quite nice to see you again.
The winter was a long one this year it seems but it went really fast at the same time. I’m excited about Spring. New beginnings, fresh starts, get rid of the old, bring in the new and all that jazz. I’m excited about finishing up some large projects this week and getting ready for some new fun things. If you are looking to get a new design for your site or to set up a site, feel free to contact me for more info.
Next month will be my one year wedding anniversary. I can hardly believe it’s been a year already. Because my husband and I rarely have a day off together, we decided that we would take some time for us during the weekend of our anniversary. So from Thursday May 18th until Tuesday May 23rd, I will be out of the office, enjoying a quiet little respite with my hubby.
I’m going to go grab my big mug of coffee and put on my coding hat. Have a great day!!

I wanted to share how I decided on the new layout and style for emtwo. I knew right away the first thing I wanted to do was change the entire color scheme. I went through pages upon pages of palettes, and I liked many. I think choosing the color scheme was one of the most difficult aspects of getting this redesign pegged. I was looking for something bold, something that popped. But I didn’t want it to be dark and dreary. I didn’t want it to be light and springy. A happy medium was more like it.
After toying around with a few options, I decided on:

I woke up this morning, grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down to get some emails out. When I clicked on my extra (read: work) hard drive, an error popped up saying something like “location not found, would you like to locate this file?”
Huh? I must be still sleepy, I thought so I rebooted my machine and that’s where things went terribly wrong. I’m unsure of the full extent of the issue, but I will say it’s not looking pretty.
If you are waiting email from me or information about your project, please hang tight. I’m working as quickly as I can to get all of this resolved so that there is minimal loss of time.
I thank you in advance for your patience.

Firefox is my browser of choice. Actually, it should be everyone’s browser of choice. While browser checking for my clients is done in a wide range of browser, Firefox is the one that I hold dear to my heart for a lot of reasons.
Today, a report was released that basically confirms what has been known for a long time…
Internet Explorer users can be as much as 21 times more likely to end up with a spyware-infected PC than people who go online with Mozilla’s Firefox browser, academic researchers from Microsoft’s backyard said in a recently published paper.

So what does that mean to you? Make the switch to Firefox today.
Your internet experience will be better for it! Promise!
