It’s no secret we LOVE Expression Engine. (EE) It’s not only our CMS of choice for powering this site, but I personally promo it to the majority of my clients. Unfortunately, the $150 pricetag for personal blog users turned a lot of people off who might otherwise really love the system.
Pmachine changed all that today with an announcement that, in addition to a new release to version 1.4 of the software, they are now offering a free version of Expression Engine for personal use called EE Core. While it has limitations that the full personal version does not, more bloggers can now use this fantastic system.
This is great news for the myriad personal bloggers out there who can benefit from a system this is flexible, highly user-friendly and doesn’t involve insane amounts of time waiting for a rebuild after a change is made to the blog. In addition to offering a free, “Core” version of EE, Pmachine also reduced the price on its fully-featured personal copy from $149 to $99.
If you’d like to learn about how switching to EE can make your blogging life easier and give you much more site management flexibility--whether you’re a personal blogger or commercial user--please contact us for more information.

There’s nothing quite like going on vacation, and then coming home to Holiday Lights, Christmas Trees, Festive Music and SNOW!!!
I feel like we’ve been gone for 3 weeks and Christmas is tomorrow. Alas, there’s still some weeks left, but it’s quickly approaching.
We had the absolute best vacation/honeymoon ever! Why didn’t we do this sooner? We realized, that in the past 8 years, the husband and I have never once gone on vacation together, for more than 3-4 days. Never. It was so nice to be able to relax and get back to the basics.
Like, this view from the deck. Couldn’t you just live here all year?
While having no internet and no phone was scary at first, we really got into the groove of just being together, and just having fun. We made a vow that we would do this for ourselves every single year, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t already thinking about the next time.
I hope everyone had a very nice Thanksgiving. I wasn’t able to post all the wonderful things I am thankful for this year, but certainly, topping the list is having this wonderful business, an amazing husband, and fabulous clients. Thank you for letting me do what I love to do, every single day.
As of now, I am taking clients for mid-late January, since I will be off for the holidays this year. Please contact me, in order to get into my queue for the new year.

Nothing really great or anything too exciting, but it is going to be fun, relaxing, and an all-around good time.
I will have limited, if any at all, *shudder* internet access. Somehow though, I imagine I will survive. Feel free to send me email though, and I will reply when I return, which will be the week of December 5th.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
