Websites as graphs is a neat little site where you input your URL and it outputs a pretty graph displaying little dots which represent things like links, image, tables, etc. It’s fun to check out other sites too, and get a feel for what is behind the site that you see everytime you visit.
This is what emtwo looks like:
What do the colors mean?
blue: for links (the A tag)
red: for tables (TABLE, TR and TD tags)
green: for the DIV tag
violet: for images (the IMG tag)
yellow: for forms (FORM, INPUT, TEXTAREA, SELECT and OPTION tags)
orange: for linebreaks and blockquotes (BR, P, and BLOCKQUOTE tags)
black: the HTML tag, the root node
gray: all other tags
Nifty, eh?

Looks like Microsoft has released Windows Vista Beta 2 after much delay.
I will say I’m not that overly impressed right now. And although my husband wants to upgrade his gaming machine, pretty much the verysinglesecond Windows Vista comes out (early 2007), I’m not that excited and I probably will sit here with my XP and be perfectly okay for awhile. Though, like most “new toys” that come out, I like to get my hands on them and play around. From my calculations, I’ll be needing a new PC right around the time Vista comes out.; Coincidence?

May is coming to a close already. Here we are, the friday before the “kick-start-weekend” of summer...Memorial Day. How I love some good BBQ’ing and fun in the sun (but only for a limited time because I burn baby burn!). It was looking as though this holiday weekend was going to go uncelebrated, but I was able to wrangle up some friends and some food for a little BBQ Party on Monday. I’m really looking forward to the down time.
May brought some business with it. I got quite a few sites done and up into the portfolio section. My husband and I celebrated our One Year Wedding Anniversary last weekend. And yesterday we learned that we have a handsome & healthy new nephew, Aidan Christopher. He was born about 2 weeks early, but both baby and mama are doing exceptionally well and I hope that somehow we will find the time to get down to North Carolina to see them all.
June is bringing in yet another really packed schedule, though I did leave myself some breathing room around the middle of the month, just in case anything pops up or I manage to find myself behind schedule, like this past week. I ended up being sick for a few days earlier this week, and I was off all weekend for our anniversary get-a-way, add to that, the inquiries that keep flying in, well...I got behind schedule a few days but I seem to be catching up nicely. So, if anyone is waiting on some email from me, fear not, they are making their way out of my inbox and toward yours.
I’m off to go water myself a little and then back to work. I hope everyone has a safe and nice holiday weekend!

CSS Reboot started yesterday and I have been taking a few moments here and there (read: while I eat lunch or dinner in front of this glowing box) to look over some of the sites that were submitted and so far, I do have some favorites!
And in no particular order they are:
Lelia Thomas
Frexy
Finbarr
CSS Remix
Nevity
Chris Williams Design
And that’s just only a few that caught my eye right away. Go take a peek yourself.

I know I practically say this every month, but where does the time go? May...in only a few days!! I can’t help thinking lately about what I was doing last year at this time. I scheduled almost the entire month of May off, so that I could concentrate full-force on getting our wedding together. There are so many strings...and organizing all of them so they would all come off perfectly on one set day, at one set time...I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a big basketcase of stress. But also so happy and excited. It’s so difficult to believe that it was a year ago. One of the best years of my life. Being married totally suits both of us.
Anyway...May 1 brings the CSS Reboot again this year. As you can imagine, last year’s reboot wasn’t even close to being on my mind. I think Pete mentioned it to me at one point and I briefly looked into what it was and thought “If only I could manage that somehow in between making my ceremony programs, and finishing up the place cards and table arrangements!”. Suffice it to say, didn’t happen. There was a fall reboot, but emtwo was just getting started and I couldn’t justify taking the time for it.
This May 1st though is another story. I did sign-up and I do plan on rebooting my ‘old blog turned new blog, new domain’. I specifically sliced away some time for me to work on getting this up and running because I think it’s a fun concept and I started designing because I love it and I have fun with it. This was my way of having more fun I suppose. Unfortunately when you work a lot (at least for me), sometimes the last sites you get around to taking care of are your own. This is something I am making great strides at changing and improving. I’m doing really good with it so far.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what other sites will be rebooted! 5 days and counting....
