Hey! You found our blog. This is where we post updates about what's going on at Emtwo (vacations, news, schedule updates). We also write about what's going on in our lives as well as cool sites we visit or fun tips and tricks we find around the internet. We're not a "specialty" blog focusing on any one subject or category. We like to keep things open, fun and light. We hope you'll stick around and share your thoughts with us.
Do websites need to look exactly the same in every browser?
At first glance, Google Chrome is sleek, simple, fast and different. But is it really all that?
There are some stories out that really makes you wonder. For example, the fine print (thank you Mr. Boyink for this link) The number 2 item listed in that article is really scary.
“By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any content which you submit, post or display on or through, the services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the services and may be revoked for certain services as defined in the additional terms of those services.”
Does it really mean what I think it means? Somebody hold me! And make damn sure you read the terms of use and really understand what it is you are handing over to the top search engine in the United States.
And it’s not just your content, but the websites you visit and use every day. Is Big Brother Google Watching? If I had to guess, he certainly is.
It will be interesting to see how Chrome does out there in the big world of browser wars.
Over the past six years, Sean and I have supported a wonderful internet charity called The Blogger Boobie-Thon and we’re doing it again this year!
The Blogger Boobie-Thon is held the first week of October and during that time, bloggers (both women and men) send in photos of their boobies (covered and bare) to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research.
Last year, I adopted the Boobie-Thon from the original founder and got my first taste at running an internet charity. I, along with a slew of wonderful and caring volunteers, raised $5,666.00 for Breast Cancer Research. Since 2002, The Blogger Boobie-thon has raised over $40,000.00 and we hope to continue adding to that total this year.
I just put out a call for 2008 Boobie-Thon Volunteers and I hope that you will consider donating your time or when the time comes, you money to a great cause. Also, feel free to pass on the news via your blog, flickr, twitter, wherever! We could use all the help we can get.
So, we are smack dab in the middle of the dog says of summer (and boy are we feeling it here in the South!), but Fall will be upon us before we know it. And thank god for that, because this Northern Girl can only take so many 90+ degree days. Plus, I love the fall. Pumpkins and chai and brisk weather and changing leaves. How can you not love Fall? Well I guess you could, but I’ll never understand it

I hope everyone had a great and happy holiday season. It went really fast for us. I can hardly believe that we’re in the middle of January.
Lots of things have happened over the past few months. And I thought I would show that off in pictures!
In early November, we closed on our first home. WE OWN A HOUSE!!!!
In the middle of December, we moved from NY to NC. This was insane and chaotic but we could not be happier!!
Than we celebrated our first christmas in our new house. It was amazing. We are so blessed.
And than...we made our Family of Five!
We are in love with Dewey. He moved in on December 27th at 8 weeks old and 3.6 lbs. He’s a wee little thing but very playful and FULL OF ENERGY! He’s a Miniature Australian Shepherd, or Mini Aussie as they say. He’s been so much fun. And we’re so glad he is part of our family.
Also, during all of this holiday moving new house business, we managed to get some work done. We’ll be updating the portfolio section in the next couple of days. We are also now taking on new projects for the coming months, so send in those requests.
